Senior Employee Salary Information
In accordance with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015, Aston-cum-Aughton Parish Council publishes the following information relating to senior employees.

Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
Salary Range
£48,266 – £57,139 per annum
Remuneration Band
£50,000 or greater
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory duties of the Parish Council.
- Providing professional advice and support to the 15 Parish Councillors.
- Overseeing all aspects of Parish Council administration, including the organisation, attendance and documentation of all Council meetings.
- Managing all aspects of financial administration and reporting.
- Managing all land owned by the Parish Council.
- Managing all Council buildings, including the Grade II listed Reading Room.
- Managing Aston and Swallownest Cemeteries.
- Managing all Parish Council allotments.
- Managing and supervising Parish Council employees (5 permanent and 3 casual staff).
- Ensuring Council assets are properly recorded, maintained, insured and transparently reported in line with statutory and financial regulations.
- Ensuring Council policies and risk assessments are regularly reviewed, properly implemented and published to maintain compliance, transparency and effective risk management.
- Liaising with other local authorities, community groups, contractors and partners to support Council projects, ensure effective communication and deliver community objectives.
- Managing all aspects of finance, administration and staffing of the charity Aston Parish Hall
