Recreational Areas

Parish Council owned recreational areas can be found at:-

Burgoyne Park - Aughton Lane, Aston
Falconer Lane Recreation Ground – Falconer Lane, Fence
Lodge Lane Recreation Ground – Lodge Lane, Aston
Aughton Recreation Ground - Main Street, Aughton
Leonard Kyte Recreation Ground - West Lane, Aughton

Football Pitches

with changing facilities are available within all the above Recreation areas except that situated at Main Street, Aughton.

Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)

this is a popular outdoor floodlit facility for activities including football/basketball etc. situated at Burgoyne Park.

Fitness Equipment 

an area containing a range of outdoor fitness equipment is situated at Burgoyne Park adjacent the children’s play area.

Children’s Play Areas

are located within all the above Recreation areas except the Leonard Kyte Recreation Ground, West Lane, Aughton.

Centenary Bowling Green

is operated by Swallownest Bowling Club. The Club is open to new members and encourages use by the general public during non-match periods. For further information contact the Secretary Ian Oxley 0114 2877594.

Bonfire and Fireworks Display

is held annually. Due to other major commitments of pyrotechnic display companies on the 5 November, the date is fixed as near to the 5th November as possible.
